ridgid belt sander not collecting dust

Feb 13, 2015 - After reading many favorable reviews of the Ridgid oscillating sander (model # EB44242) and with a 15% rebate offered by the manufacturer, I finally bought this sander as my Christmas present. I can now use a hood over the table saw though, and that helps with dust ginormissly. So depending on what type of projects you work on, that certainly could be a viable way of utilizing the DC while sanding. However, there are millions of products and services on the web, and I only promote those products or services that I would use personally. Any suggestions? I would “reserve” the cheaper, much much louder and annoying Craftsman, ShopVac and Ridgid models for rough work.
